DAY ONE; pick up and transfer to hotel
Our experienced driver guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel reserved for you in Kampala, at the hotel you will spend the day recovering from your flight, relaxing and resting for your upcoming adventurous events
DAY TWO; visit to the source of the Nile, bungee jumping and a transfer to Mbale
Following a wonderful breakfast, you will leave for Jinja which is a 2 hour drive from Kampala Uganda’s capital, this drive takes you through the forested lands of Mabira and you will finally arrive in Jinja for the exciting source of the longest river in the world, the Nile. Following lunch in Jinja, you will engage into bungee jumping an exciting and impressive activity as you jump from a tall structure while connected to a large elastic cord. Past this adventurous activity, you will proceed to Mbale where you will have your dinner and overnight.
DAY THREE; hike the Sipi falls and transfer to Kidepo valley national park
After your morning breakfast, with lunch en route you will embark into a one and a half hour drive to Sipi falls where you will hike to the top and the base of the fall for sightseeing experience, this activity will last for one to three hours. Returning from the hike, you will be transferred to Kidepo valley national park; in the transit you will be able to see the rock out crop and Rocky Mountains of Moroto and experience the livelihood of the people occupying communities with in eastern Uganda. In the evening you will arrive in Kidepo valley national park divided by two valley systems that is Narus and Kidepo valley, you will then relax and wait for your dinner and overnight.
DAY FOUR; game drive in Kidepo and community visit in Karenga
Breakfast followed by a morning game drive to Kidepo valley composed of seasonal rivers and mostly known for its dotted borassus palm plantation a source of food to baboons and elephants, you with higher chances of viewing a variety of wildlife among these include buffaloes, elephants, baboons, pair of Abyssinian horn bill, secretary birds and flocks of Somali ostriches a must see. Returning from the game drive, you will have your lunch served, relax and wait for the cultural visit at Karenga. This visit is conducted to the nearby communities with in Karenga dominated by pastoral Karamajong, experience the unique cultural songs, dances and dressing styles of the pastoral karamajong similar to the Masai in Kenya. On your return from the cultural visit, you will relax as you wait for your dinner and overnight.
DAY FIVE; game dive around Narus valley and transfer to Murchison falls
At 6:30 am you will embark on a very early morning game drive around the Narus valley whose rivers have a permanent drainage year over, these seasonal oases combined with the open savannah terrain, makes the valley the park’s prime game viewing location. A variety of wild animals is viewed, among these include the previously extinct cheetahs, lions, buffaloes, giraffes and spotted hyenas. Following the game drive, breakfast will be served as you wait for your transfer to Murchison falls national park. You will have a stopover in Kitgum for lunch and then proceed via Gulu to Murchison falls national park for your dinner and overnight.
DAY SIX; early morning game drive and an evening launch cruise
At 6:30 am you will leave for a morning game drive to the Nyamsike plateau providing a lot of chances to see a variety of wildlife among these include baboons, cape buffaloes, giraffes and waterbucks, large carnivores such as lions, leopards and African spotted hyenas, crocodiles resting, hippos digesting while buffaloes and warthogs wallowing on the backs of the Nile well as elephants lingering. Upon returning, you will be given a late breakfast, relax as you wait for your lunch.
Following lunch, you will be transferred for an evening boat cruise upstream to the base of the falls, it sets off at Paraa and it presents an astonishing display of wildlife and provides the best view of the falls, on this cruise you will see hippos, crocodiles and a variety of bird species on the shores of the Nile. Boat cruise followed by a 45 minutes hike to the top of the falls to watch waves of white water.
DAY SEVEN; nature walk and transfer to Kibale national park
After breakfast, you will explore the vast landscape and varied scenery of Murchison falls national park and the surrounding conservation area on foot, trails through Kaniyo and Rubongo forest provide the best sightings of several primates and birds. In seasons with low water levels there is a possibility of seeing the illusive shoe bill stork. On your return from the nature walk with lunch en route, you will be transferred to Kibale national park a home to 13 primate species with highest concentration of chimpanzees man’s closest cousin. Upon arrival, you will check in, relax, enjoy your refreshments as you wait for your dinner and overnight.
DAY EIGHT; chimpanzee tracking and nature walk around Bigodi wetland
After breakfast being served at 7:00 am, you will report to Kanyanchu tourist Centre at 8:00 am for briefing on rules of chimpanzee tracking, this primate walk activity lasts for 3 hours and its most commonly carried out in Kibale, on this trail, 13 primates species can be sought and the chances of locating chimpanzees are excellent, you will then return to the safari lodge for lunch. Following lunch you will embark to a nature walk in Bigodi wetland for various monkey and bird species. On your return you will then relax and wait for you dinner and overnight at the safari lodge.
DAY NINE; transferred to Queen Elizabeth national park and a launch cruise
Breakfast followed by a transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park Uganda’s mostly visited national park famous for its game with the highest hippo concentration. On your arrival at the park, you will relax and wait for you lunch. In the afternoon you will embark to a recreation launch cruise that gives you the best chances to cruise just a few meters away from the highest hippo concentration in the world along with Nile crocodiles and wallowing cape buffaloes while elephants linger on the shoreline of Kazinga channel which is 32km long adjoining Lakes Edward and George. Upon relaxation from the cruise, dinner will be served and an overnight at the lodge.
DAY TEN; game drive to the ishasha sector and transfer to Bwindi
Breakfast followed by a game drive to the Ishasha sector of the park in search for the rear tree climbing lions, this game drive might take the whole day so you will have packed lunch with you. You have higher chances of seeing countless herds of Uganda kobs, herds of cape buffaloes, great herds of elephants, the defassa waterbucks and vervet monkeys spotted with in the transit to Ishasha. In the late evening after the search of the tree climbing lions, you will be transferred to Bwindi which is a one and a half hour drive from Queen Elizabeth to Buhoma Bwindi’s headquarters. Following arrival from the prolonged and tiresome game drive and transfer, refreshments will be served, relax and wait for your dinner and overnight at the safari lodge.
DAY ELLEVEN; gorilla tracking
Early in the morning, you will have you breakfast at 7:00 am and with packed lunch, you will move to Buhoma briefing Centre for tracking rules and guide lines, following briefing, a porter will be assigned to you, to help you carry your baggage for a convenient gorilla tracking. Gorilla tracking starts at exactly 8:00 am and it can last for a whole day depending on the time spent trekking, once a complete gorilla family is found, you will spend a full hour with them observing. In the afternoon you will relax as you wait for your dinner and overnight.
DAY TWELVE; hot spring experience, cultural exploration and transfer to Lake Mburo
Very early in the morning, you will be served breakfast followed by a transfer to Kitagata hot springs believed to have curative and healing powers, the water in the springs can warm up to 80oc. following the hot spring experience, you will then be transferred to Igongo cultural centre. It’s a cultural village that features the best museum display in Uganda exploring the tribes of people in western Uganda through artifacts.
Following lunch at the cultural village, you will be transferred to Lake Mburo national park the whispers of the wild, the only park that can be explored on foot as long as accompanied by a ranger guide. On you arrival you will embark into a nature walk around the park, this will take you take you to the hill top providing you with gorgeous view to the Lake. On your return you will relax and wait for your dinner and overnight.
DAY THRITEEN; boat cruise and transfer to Kampala
Following breakfast in the morning, you will engage into a two hour morning boat voyage, on this cruise you will be able to fist your eyes with a clear view of crocodiles, buffaloes and hippos as well as colorful kingfishers, magnificent fish eagles and hammerkops with their enormous nests. Boat cruise will be followed by a transfer back to Kampala with lunch en route; there will be two stopovers with the first one at Kayabwe for the equator experience. You will have the opportunity of engaging into educational geographical experience where water is used to demonstrate the geographical difference between the south and the northern side of the world.
Incase time is favorable, you will then proceed to Buwama crocodile farm as your second stopover, it’s a privately owned farm inhabiting over 4000 crocs, here you have chances of walking just few meters away from giant crocs observing them in the their structures and finally you will proceed to Kampala for your dinner and overnight.
DAY FOURTEEN; transfer to Entebbe
After your morning breakfast, you will be transferred from you hotel to Entebbe for your flight.
